From creating superheroes on paper to saving orangutans in real life, they are creating comics with a cause. Headed by Alana Bruyn, and Neville Howard from Melbourne Comics, Australia, Project Orangutan has engaged over 50 creators across the globe to create amazing stories and art, in effort to raise awareness of the orangutans on the brink of extinction. This panel will address the challenges with global collaboration, utilizing social media networking, challenging the norm, finding a new audience using a traditional comic medium, and celebrating the outcome of the books and its beneficiaries.
