At the forefront of the recent commercial and critical attention for colorists stands CAC special guest Dave McCaig. His colors can be found in a wide range of comics: supernatural historical fiction (American Vampire, Northlanders), mainstream superhero comics (New Avengers, Superman: Birthright), and cult favorites (Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E., Stephan Colbert's Tek Jansen). Besides TV, he has worked on the Batman animated series (2005) and the fourth Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated film. An advocate for comic colorists, McCaig started and moderates Gutter Zombie, an online forum for working colorists. Keegan Lannon (Seagull Institute) will moderate a conversation with McCaig about color, colorists, and comics.
